Myles shines in Team USA Select debut

myles usaMyles Turner was chosen to be a part of the Team USA Select team that competed against the Team USA team representing the nation in Rio for the Olympics. The select team is essentially a selection of players who are likely candidates for the Olympic squad down the road. Even though he was not on the main team, Myles was sure playing like he was and many around the league took notice. Espn’s Marc Spears and Ethan Strauss were quick to point out that Myles was probably the select team player that stood out the most. Turner played well including having a possession where he blocked a post up by Demarcus Cousins while shooting a three on the other end. He also welcomed Pacer’s teammate, Paul George, to the Myles High Club with a block.

It’s clear that Myles has taken a tremendous step forward in his growth as a player and the Pacers are excited for the upcoming season especially since he will be getting more playing time. Myles previously represented USA when he played on the US Junior National Team and won gold with the U18 Team in 2014.
