Pacers want recognition for Myles Turner leading the league’s top scoring defense (via IndyStar)

INDIANAPOLIS – On one hand, it’s about team with the Indiana Pacers, even though many of them are on expiring contracts.

With the regular-season award voting quickly approaching, however, it’s about individuals, too.

Namely, Myles Turner.

Even without Victor Oladipo, who was their only All-Star and made the All-Defensive team, the Pacers matched last season’s 48-win total after Wednesday’s regular-season finale at the Atlanta Hawks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks) and Rudy Gobert (Jazz) typically get most of the first mentions but Turner warrants strong consideration for Defensive Player of the Year and should at least get selected to his first All-Defensive team.
