Myles Turner Surprises Kids with Shopping Spree at Dick’s Sporting Goods

Myles Turner surprised a handful of local Indianapolis kids with a $200 shopping spree at the Dick’s Sporting Goods in Castleton Square Mall.

The children were selected because they potentially not going to receive gifts during this holiday season.

Even small gestures like this create a lasting effect on a child and the world becomes a better place as a result.

“It’s all about creating memories and lasting moments that will carry throughout their life,” he told WISH-TV.

While events like this are great, Myles wants to make it clear that giving back to the community can be done in simpler ways too.

The WARM initiative is a great example of an easy method to positively impact members of your community that are in need.

“What I do is I get these little ‘go’ bags, packages that contain Kleenex, hand warmers, fruit cups, anything you can think of that the less fortunate could need. I keep these bags in the back of my truck. Anytime I go around and see people in need I just hand them out.”
