NEW ORLEANS — Myles Turner represented the Indiana Pacers in the 2017 BBVA Rising Stars Challenge as a starter for the USA Team as a part of NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Rising Stars Challenge is an exhibition game played between the top young players in the NBA separated into two teams, the USA Team and the World Team.

The USA Team Roster: Devin Booker, Malcolm Brogdon, Marquese Chriss, Brandon Ingram, Frank Kaminsky, Jahlil Okafor, D’Angelo Russell, Jonathon Simmons, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Myles Turner.

The World Team Roster: Joel Embiid, Dante Exum, Buddy Hield, Nikola Jokic, Trey Lyles, Emmanuel Mudiay, Jamal Murray, Kristaps Porzingis, Domantas Sabonis, and Dario Saric.

Myles played for 18 minutes and recorded 12 points (5-of-8 shooting), four rebounds, and one block. The World Team came out on top with a 150-141 victory.

During the game, he recorded a highlight alley-oop dunk off of a flashy pass from Los Angeles Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell.

He joined Paul George (2011-12), Danny Granger (2005-06, 2006-07), Sarunas Jasikevicius (2005-06), Jamaal Tinsley (2001-02, 2002-03), Erick Dampier (1996-97), and Antonio Davis (1993-94) as players that have represented the Pacers organization at the Rising Stars Challenge.

After the game, he talked with Pacers.com to discuss his experience.

The Rising Stars Challenge is a tremendous opportunity for young players to receive their first taste of the NBA All-Star Weekend experience. The next time Myles participates in All-Star weekend, it will have to be either as a selected member of the Eastern Conference All-Star Team, in the JBL Three-Point Contest, in the Verizon Slam Dunk Contest, or in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge.
