Myles Turner participates in annual media day with the Indiana Pacers

The 2019-20 NBA season is right around the corner as the Indiana Pacers held their annual media day.

The NBA’s media days are an opportunity for the media to ask the players questions and for the team to take photos for their digital team.

Teams will typically allow the media to ask players questions in a podium setting and provide individual availability as well. The Pacers provided podium availability for head coach Nate McMillan along with Victor Oladipo and Myles.

The topics of the questions that reporters had for Myles featured a wide variety. He was asked about playing more alongside Domantas Sabonis, his experiences with Team USA, his goals for this season, working out with Kevin McHale, and Victor Oladipo’s injury rehab to name a few.

The photoshoots that take place on media day are the first opportunity for fans to see players in their new team’s uniforms and with their new teammates. The Pacers took some photos with Myles along with Victor Oladipo, Malcolm Brogdon, and Domantas Sabonis.

The teams like to get creative with the type of photos and videos that they create with the players. An example of this came from the Pacers creating a GIF of Myles holding a lightsaber from the Star Wars series.

The Pacers conduct sit down conversations with Pat Boylan and Mark Boyle during media day with each of the players. Myles joined the show to talk about his experiences over the summer and about the upcoming season.

The Pacers will now be preparing for the start of their preseason schedule in training camp at the St. Vincent Center. The players participate in drills and scrimmages and those that did not participate in the 2019 FIBA World Cup had to undergo a conditioning test.

The Pacers are set to travel to India on Oct. 1 for their two matchups with the Sacramento Kings in Mumbai.
